Montreal has taken Pittsburgh to seven games. Especially when you consider how their defensemen are dropping like, well, Sabres circa May/June 2006, it’s surprising they’ve been able to stop the big guns of the Penguins. I give a lot of the credit to Halak, but he doesn’t score goals, so it’s obviously not just him.

And what’s going on with Philly and Boston? Has Boston run out of gas? Has Tuukka Rask suddenly become human? Who knows, but maybe having the 3,604,206’th-string goaltender in nets for Philly will help them break out of their funk.

Detroit is done. Ahhhh, how sweet that is to say. The weird thing with Detroit is: I like a lot of their players. How can you not like a great talent like Nik Lidstrom? They’ve got some of the best role players in the game too.

Vancouver and Chicago continue to beat the hell out of each other. That’s one of the things I love about playoff hockey – bring on the hate!

Until next time, this has been As Amanda’s World Turns.
