Ok, so we’re going to have to put up with the Islanders feed again. DUMB. Amanda does not approve.

Liked:

  • The Sabres come out flying. I learned from John Vogl’s live blog that they didn’t do a morning skate again. I think they should stop doing morning skates forever.
  • Heh. Ryan Miller stops a two-on-none on Tavares and some other guy not named Tavares.
  • Toward the end of the first period the Sabres get a 5-on-3 power play.
  • Thomas Vanek makes it look very easy, and it’s 1-0 Sabres.

Didn’t like:

  • At the end of the first period the Islanders have eight takeaways. Really, NHL stats guy? Really?
  • Okay, what’s going on? The Sabres are LOSING to the Islanders. How can this be?
  • We’re halfway through the game and the Sabres have ten giveaways. Ouch.
  • Now this is just silly. Wake up, boys!
  • Oh my golly, these guys suck.
  • This game is too boring to blog much. Sorry, readers. Them’s the facts.

Oh man, this was a BAD game to lose. Not that any are *good* games to lose, but COME ON. It’s the Islanders. It’s Rick DiPietro.

Basically, a terrible game, and they should be hanging their heads tonight.

I guess the “On any given Sunday” scenario applies…even though it’s only Saturday night…

Remember when the Sabres were looked like they were flying compared to the opponent on a regular basis? I have to say that the other shoe has fallen now…Actually, it fell in the 6-3 home opening loss to the Rangers…

So I ask you Darcy, Larry and Tom, how does that $400K (+/-) that you didn’t spend for Tallinder and Lydman taste now?

Myers is trying to do too much because our defense corps (with a notable exception or two) stinks. And he gets in trouble on the ice because of it.

Can’t wait for Terry Pegula to buy this franchise so he can clean house when this miserable season ends…

OK, time for me to step off this soap box…

You make a lot of good points. It will certainly be interesting to see what Pegula does. A blow up may be the only way to rescue this team.

Thanx :)…I could have blustered on, but I feel like I’m beating a dead horse, as I imagine many other Sabres fans feel at this stage.
